Potter

Digital Platform

Exhibitionist rebuilt The University of Melbourne's Potter Museum website in partnership with Studio Round, delivering a modern website and collection platform that balances curatorial needs with public access.

Website Redevelopment

We created a content-driven architecture that adapts to the museum's changing exhibition and collection requirements. Working closely with Studio Round's design team, we translated their visual identity into a responsive digital experience that maintains fast performance while showcasing the museum's diverse collection.

Platform Features

  • Flexible content management for exhibitions and programs
  • Responsive collection browsing and search functionality
  • Streamlined navigation across museum offerings
  • Optimised image delivery for artwork presentation
  • Staff-friendly backend for collection updates

Next Phase: Collection Integration

In 2026, we'll integrate the museum's new Digital Asset Management system and Acquia collection management platform, creating a unified pipeline from collection database to public website. This will automate artwork information updates and enable richer collection storytelling through enhanced metadata and media capabilities.

The current platform provides the foundation for this future integration, built with the flexibility to accommodate evolving collection management needs while maintaining the distinctive Potter Museum experience.
