NGV
TNEW Customisations
Exhibitionist redesigned the National Gallery of Victoria's TNEW ticketing interface, creating a streamlined purchasing experience that shifted visitor behavior from on-site queues to online bookings.
Onsite to Online
As Australia's busiest museum, NGV faced persistent bottlenecks during blockbuster exhibitions like Yayoi Kusama. Long ticket queues were disrupting gallery flow and creating frustrating entry experiences. They needed more visitors buying online rather than at the door.
Working with NGV's communications and ticketing teams, we rebuilt the entire TNEW user journey. The new interface simplifies ticket selection, integrates upselling opportunities, and brings donations and gift cards into a unified checkout flow.
Platform Improvements
- Simplified UI for faster ticket purchasing
- Integrated promotions and flexible ticketing options
- Donation prompts and gift card functionality
- Mobile-optimised responsive design
- Scalable architecture for peak demand periods
The redesign drove a substantial increase in online sales - helping support the busiest and most profitable exhibition is Australian history. Our TNEW improvement helped reduce physical queues and improving visitor flow through the galleries. Shortly after launch, we supported NGV through the Tessitura v16 migration, ensuring the TNEW reskin project transferred seamlessly to the updated platform.
