Platform for research and experimentation

Machine Listening is a collaborative project led by artist-researchers Sean Dockray, James Parker, and Joel Stern. It is a platform for collaborative research and artistic experimentation, focused on the political and aesthetic dimensions of the computation of sound and speech.

For this site Exhibitionist was asked to develop something simple and easy to use, that integrated with artists documentation on Notion. To do this, we built an web-presenting interface that connected to the Machine Listening notion - which then allowed them to use Notion as the CMS. This gave the artists the ability to run the project in a similar way to how they had before.

To support the conceptual underpinning of the Machine Listening project we didn't use any large tech web infrastructure to build this site (unless you count Notion as a Tech Giant).
